Opposites Attract

The devil sat captivated across the angel. Eyes fixated and focused on trying to find that one tiny flaw that would make her just like him. Obsessed with finding a chink in her perfect armor.
The angel sat bewitched across the devil. Eyes stubbornly searching that broken part through which light could get inside him. Obsessed with finding a tiny ray of hope behind his perfect mask.

But what about her wounds?

Thousands thronged and waited at her doorstep. The crowd continuing to pour in, never diminishing. Broken, bleeding, twisted, hopeless. Ceaselessly, the angel met them one by one. Soothing wounds, applying healing balms, touch or words of assurance, whatever they needed. Then someone saw a large horizontal slit across the angel's back - unattended, septic and bleeding her to death slowly.

Her

In her heart there is love. In her mind there is devotion. In her walk there is pride, in her eyes hopes and a hidden sadness. In her smile there is both mischief and masked pain. In her thoughts there are desires, underneath her skin a crawling fear. Her hands she raises to protect and care. Then lowers and folds them in humble prayers. And all her prayers carry your name. She may tuck away the dark clouds of her sadness, and become the sunshine that warms up your day. The strength of her character is her signature scent. She is powerful and independent. Yet very ordinary and simple. She is the girl next door, she is a goddess in her own right. With you not out of necessity but her choice. Do the wise thing and never let her go away.

Broken

He wondered what he did wrong. Why she walked all over his heart. But since she was the one who broke it in the first place, the pieces would cut her deep and first.

Your ghosts

You are alive but now just a memory for me. Decades of countless memories, of a life spent with you, piled up like rotting corpses at the back of my mind. Wherever I go I carry your ghosts with me. I ran as far away from you as my feet would take me. Yet at the far end of the world, I found you living inside of me.

Talk

When i am not having conversations "with" you, i am having conversations "about" you. In my head. And given the limitless landscape of the mind, there can exist contradictory perspectives, co-existing even without my awareness. And just how a tiny flame, an innocent friction between two branches can hungrily engulf the entire forest, these opposing voices can grow stronger and stronger and consume the entire relation. Nip it in the bud. Uproot the toxic weeds. Talk to me. From the depths of your heart and soul. And i will know.

Closure

Yes the relation is dead. Maybe the feelings are dead too. But lets give it a proper burial, a final honor, a graceful exit. Cause though the very real moments we once shared (and what is life but a series of memorable moments) , the magic of touch, the power of actions, the inspiring kind words we once spoke to each other are all but memories now of a distant past. Things that were so real just a short while ago we can catch hold off and relive only in our minds. And because we meant so much to each other once, because we transformed each other in some way, the respect, the fondness, the adoration that blossomed genuinely in our hearts once, needs closure. Let it be a final long embrace, a tight handshake, a lasting stare, whatever it takes, whatever will suffice to say what words might not do justice to. To thank. To end. To let go. To move on. A bitter sweet experience.

A part of her

Fresh from the rush of love, she was glowing. He offered her his towel to wipe the sweat off her face. He said, he would preserve the towel as it is, a part of her to keep with him, till the time came when he could see her next....

Eyes eyes baby!

Why wont you look into my eyes my dear? He asked as she incessantly kissed his feet. Because, she finally said, still looking at his feet - my obedient lips can stay sealed but my eyes will betray me. They will reveal to you what and how much i feel for you....
